Silver Star - 10" fresh snow

Would hike if I could see where the hill was! And where is the snow plow dude that is meant to be clearing the driveway? Note to self - when building/ buying own house make sure driveway has natural drainage (inc snow accum) and have a garage for cars/ toys!

I guess all that shovelling counts as a work out though!

Anyone else getting silly amounts of snow now that your local has closed?

Cloud lifted so I can see where I am going - going skiing!

So I hiked - it was an effort

Looking back at my tracks under the chair - nice view

Looking up at the sled tracks I was following - I want a friend who has a sled

(no I just want a lighter weight side/ back country set up)

The half way rest stop - one can tell it is a while since I had a serious hike as I was wearing way to much and was cooking as well as blowing.

My very own tracks - should have chosen a steeper run (but I wanted to be able to see my tracks from my house)

Finally come across some other tracks near the bottom - go with the short turns short turn guy. What a great run and I wished I had lighter gear and some skins like the short turn guy did.

Just one - the snow didn't stop falling to allow some visability until 1100 hrs and my wife had lunch waiting for me (already planned before I decided to go hiking).

Pretty lame I know but I bet it was one more run than most people got on 15th Apr!

Like I said if I had had snow shoes or a lighter touring set up and if I knew the mountain better (or was skiing with someone who did) then I would be happier to risk the more marginal visibility.

more snow falling

Will it be enough for somw decent runs? If it keeps falling at this rate it should be worth a hike - will update if it does and I do.
