From my research this particular model of Porsche was the result, and the winner, of a design contest. The nearest living relative is the 2002 Volkl Slalom Carver. I bought them for my daughter (as left-overs, not expensive boutique skis). They carve well, have good grip, are stable at reasonable speeds, and reward proper movements. Good in snow if not too deep good grip on ice, not massive enough for frozen crud. They cured a lot of frustration when she was following my instructions on how to ski and the scary rental skis she was on weren't doing what they were told. I think there might have been another model of Porsche as well, these are 156 106-63-93. Treckchick I think may have had a pair of Porsches.
