I "snared" a pair of last year's 179 cm PE's off ebay at a good price. Got them mounted with a Marker (plate) set up, the shop here in Pa. didn't have any good prices on flat mount bindings , mounted 1.5 cm Forward of midsole mark.

Skied them for 4 days last week at Vail and Brec. I really can't add anything new to what has already been said about this excellent ski. They are pretty good at just about everything , and an extremely versatile fun ski that can be had at a great price. When I have the opportunity to ski in the West it will be the only ski I take. Surprisingly , the PE is a pretty good front side carver. So my take on the PE is there are better skis probably in each category (powder, crud, bumps, carver etc) but the PE is good enough in each that if you want a ski that can handle just about every condition you will encounter during a week of skiing I don't think you'll be disappointed with the PE. As an added bonus at the end of the day walking up the steps of the Vail Transporation Center, you'll appreciate their light weight.
