Salomon Aero Series

I skied the Aero GT (162 cm) but found it a bit soft for higher speed carving. Has anyone tried the Aero X ski? They look identical in feature and cut to the Salomon Equipe GC Race. What is happening with the Aero line for 2009?
Thanks

Salomon Aero Series

I got Aero X (2009) in February in Austria. Color - black.A little stiffer, than of my Atomis Metron 11 B5c. Very stable at speed, quick in turns, good greep. Nice ski.
Expensive.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea how they would compare to a Fischer RX 8 or other wood core ski. These skis don't seem to have a lot of reviews on this forum.

the crossmax w12, equipe gc and the aero x are all more or less the same ski...they have the exact same shape...might have a bit more or less fibreglass in a few places, but i doubt it. you could probably ski mismatched pairs taken from all 3 lines and not notice much difference...

theyre ok skis...much easier turning than a lot of dumbed down GS skis, but still have decent edge grip on ice. all 3 are wood core, but they dont feel like it, if that makes sense...theyre all pretty light underfoot but you cant really tramp on them and expect them to hold the way you can something beefier like a supershape or something else along those lines..

mind you im a bigger guy 6'3" and 195 or so, so judge accordingly..
