Day 1 - Grand Targhee - My schedule was as follows, work the Steve Young benefit untill 12:30am and leave at 5am to start the drive up to targhee at really early hour. Arriving at 10am we boot and up and a mountain host says that the area between the "the bad" and "The ugly" was pretty good. We head there first great by boot top condensed powder. Pretty awesome, nice to ski soft snow after weeks of hard pack at snowbird.

Targhee is an off trail cruiser's dream much of the mountain is un groomed and un tracked with no bumps whats so ever. this is not difficult mountain to ski at all, with the exception of the cliff bands off of the Sacajawea Quad. Those cliffs bands range from doable 5 footers to kinda of scary 15-20 footer to out this world big 40+.

The deepest snow we found was in a around those cliff and pillow lines.

Me and tim jumped over this pine Tree, but in the video is looks tiny.

Dinner that night consisted of "the Knotty Pine" great little hole in the wall bar. Located in Victor, home to great tasting bad for you food. I highly recommend.

Day 2 -Jackson Hole Jackson reported 5inches overnight our first run was sick coming down to Thunder Chair lift. I hear "Josh is that you" from some random JHMR instructor, and its one of spring time helper at the bird Rob. Rob a jackson local takes first into Expert chutes which turned out to be huge bumps underneath windcrusted snow....not so good. after getting over to sublette quad we do a run in ten sleep bowl to the cirque which is flat out amazing,but.....We spyed some people dropping corbets getting face shots so that became our new goal. after riding the 3 chairs lifts to get up there we are standing atop of corbets.

Tim staring down the beast

Me my 2nd time ever in corbets, we would go on to do 3 laps in there that day.

After 2 more laps in there we skied the hobacks which was sick terrain with not so sick snow. Top half was 6 inches of powder bottom half was crust. Huge vertical will change snow conditions pretty easily though. conclusion by all off us at the end of the day. Jackson Hole is sick, this place should be on your list to ski if your think your an 'expert" I am really questioning if i should still call myself one after seeing the local there ski.

Day 3 - Jackson Hole Backcountry today was our day to ski with Bob Peters, everyone take note dont ever not take a chance to ski with Bob, even a couple hours will make your day. In this case it really made our day because what he showed us is all we did. beside the 4 lifts and access runs we did to get to the top of Jackson. Our first real run would be "Zero G Couliour"

Happy Camper just past the access gate
me. tim. Bob

Me,bob, and tim looking down for our next move

Me and Bob should enter the powder 8

Me on the exit to Space Walk(jackson actually looks steep on camera which is pretty amazing)

Man all this powder sucks Tim

more powder boo where are all the groomers, me

Adrian's from North Carolina man he hates the powder too

thats all folks hope you guys enjoy

Isn't that Corbett's about 1:07 into the vid? Did they move it to Rock Springs Canyon?

I think what volklskier means is that it looks unusually narrow at the entrance to Corbets.

Thats what happens when there is a lot of snow.

I've seen it so icey (the reverse of BWPA's pics) that people were hitting the tips of their skis off the canyon walls.

I'm sure Bob and the rest of the Jackson bunch can elaborate much more on Corbets than I can.

Looking good BWPA!
