Oh my, memories....... wore out my set of early blues beyond repair. I actually had the pleasure of working for "The Ski" in my late teens in the Odgen factory, circa 78-79. We shared an extremely old warehouse with the "Warehouse" restaurant. At the time there were 5 us, 3 who made the skis, 1 who cut the fiberglass, and myself who was the jack of all trades, from repairs to making skis, to making equipment. It was a blast. We were making the blacks, whites (not a true white but more a whiteish/gray, and the reds. They would leave our factory in a fairly unfinished state and be transported if I remember correctly to Park City where the other factory was. There the skis would be flashed, the logos applied and packaged for shipping. Eventually I made a flashing table for the Odgen location and we would do our flashing there. Flashing was the process of cutting down the unfinished top of the skis even to the sides.
