Is time spent skiing really the critical factor? I would think that vertical feet is a better measure (although you would need to factor in other factors like difficulty of run, snow conditions (think two feet of powder) etc.). On a trip last week I skied 18,000 vertical over a four hour period in fresh powder and some groomed runs and was beat. About four days later I skied 37,000 vertical on steep groomed runs in six hours and hardly felt tired at all. I don't keep track of the time on lift, but I do watch the numbers on the ski lift chairs to see how much I beat my ascending chair to the bottom by.
