Attention Deficit Disorder ski movies

Hey all,

Are there any non-MTVized ski movies out there? I'm getting a bit tired of all the films with slow motion action shots set to blaring soundtracks, edited like a Jerry Bruckheimer / Michael Bay production.

I'd like to see:

- a normal speed camera: enough with the slow-motion, for the love of god!
- headcams: 1st-person perspective of 100 foot cliff drops and such.
- interesting sounds: drop the music sometimes, strap a mike on the guy so we can hear him breathing as he ragdolls..I mean skis down the mountain. Bleep out the swears for the kids. You might think this is pointless, but I saw a clip that used this technique a while ago and it was very cool.
- longer shots: why do we rarely see a shot of a skier doing a run all the way through? I guess the movie editors think the viewers will get quickly bored if the skier's outfit doesn't change every 10 seconds.
- less stupid stunts: if I want to see a guy jump over a bus or grind some rails set on fire, I'll go to the circus.

are you kidding me? have you not seen TGR's Mind the Addiction?

geez. it's not an mtv video and it shows complete skier lines and how the orchestrate them. Micah Black's 'dead or alive' segment is unreal. he disects and insane line w/ 2 cliff drops and it shows him trying to nail it twice (getting pummelled) and then shows his triumph 3rd time around. what about gordy's mach 2 super G turns down AK faces? what about gordy's helmet cam view when he gets run-over by his slough and tears everything in his knee to shreads.

ok, it doesn't sound like you like the whole jib thing, but you can fastforward them in MTA and still hit the best big mountain segments ever.
