Self-amusement on chairlifts - Page 2

Skiing stoned is bad... I'm not anti-weed, but I'm anti-weed-while-skiing, at least... It doesn't matter whether you can function or not, but your response time is delayed for sure... which can be dangerous.... I'd have messed with that guy hardcore.. lol...

I like pointing out people who are going to fall.... That's fun... Crank up the mp3 player on the ride up and sing at the top of my lungs... crazy stuff too... Southern Culture on the Skids and Bloodhound Gang are favorites... I turn it down when I'm skiing though, so I can hear patroller whistles. I know that when I was in the sled a couple years ago, I wouldn't have wanted someone blocking the patrollers from passing because they couldn't hear the whistles.. I give others the same respect (Sorry bout the tangent.. lol)

We used to hold are legs straight clear up the lift, then race down... Once the lactic acid starts building up it gets intense.. and the runs down are usually pretty funny... Of course, I know I'd lose now against the people I did that with... These damned Metrons (don't laugh at me lol) are heavyyyyyy......

Let's see.. if I am alone, I'll watch my lines as much as possible and analyze them. Of course, I'm the guy that loves talking technique on the lift... go figure ;p

So if I'm ever skiing and I can hear "You and me baby aint nothing but mammals, so let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel" coming from above, I'll know who it is.

Now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head all afternoon, bugger.

If you actually believe that skiing while high is dangerous then I would like to introduce you to the world of competitive skiing. I've raced, freestyled, "extremed", and photo-slutted. Guess what?.... Everyone smokes dope!!!!

Why do "smokers" ALWAYS get SOOOOOO DEFENSIVE whenever this is brought up??

They make walks to the parking lot sheer torture. Heaviest ****ing skis I've ever owned. But, I love 'em on the hill. I still look for another pair all the time on ebay, but there's nothing in 175 cm.

I may go to Volkl AC40's when my M:EX's finally give out.

Segue: Skiing stoned was a hoot, when I was younger. I haven't tried it lately, but I'm sure it's still light 'n lively.

These days, I'm so focused on technique (required as you age), I won't risk wild weed in the process.

My best memories of skiing are when I was 20 years of age, stoned on the hill at Whistler, with infinite youthful prowess. Fond remembrances.

Today, too many responsibilities.

Yo, DropCliffs- I've got match...

Smokers get defensive because it can be annoying to have someone tell you something you know isn't true from personal experience that they heard from an eleventh-hand source based on something they have no direct knowledge of, in a nutshell...

I don't smoke much any more, but to anyone who has smoked at least a decent amount at some time in their life, those comments are hilarious.

Its like someone saying that skiing while on caffeine is dangerous.

Good enough. I don't "partake". I tried it years ago, but it didn't do much for me, and I really don't like smoke. I can't comment on what it would do to you as far as skiing goes, but I've seen enough to know that it isn't completely harmless. I ski "chemical free" (okay - caffeine... - I like to be as on top of my game as I can be.

I could just never figure out why it draws such STRONG reactions. Anyway, it was just an observation -- I always get a kick out of how ferociously people defend their "right to light".

because they're paranoid, dude.

it's called PARANOIA.

Hey stoners, nobody cares enough to move on beyond saying "That guy is loaded." Once they realize that, you're an afterthought... There's no reason to be paranoid. Quite frankly, nobody really cares about you. So shut up, and keep whatever secrets you think you have to yourself in your little secret-world.

The only reason you haven't been arrested yet is because nobody cares. To think otherwise is our humor. It's like the drunk 14 year-old drinking while his parents are on vacation and thinking they don't know all the while the father is planning the vacations in the first place in an attempt to get away from his moron kid who couldn't pull-off the secrets.

Mom is like... When are you going to bust him?
Dad is like... When he figures out how to keep it a secret.

Guess what, loadies... EVERYONE KNOWS. we just don't care because we were 14 once too. Some of us haven't grown up yet, but that's okay.

Hey dropcliffs...

Your entire social network knows you are stoned. The people from which you buy groceries, get your hair cut, and even buy gas.

EVERYONE KNOWS.

that's what's funny. You actually think otherwise... and get paranoid about us finding out.

I'm not a big fan of listening to music while skiing where there are other people, but, um, patrollers with sleds are passing you?

Ever try and tell an alcoholic they can't stop drinking?

I think you severely misread that one, garrett. I think he meant while lingering around. I've had a sled in tow and have had to yell "Get the F out of the way." Some people are just oblivious to their surroundings. Add head-phones into the mix and you have deaf obliviados. (How's that for Spanouning an adjective?):

Oye, vete a la mierda, obliviado! I don't know, could work in the right places.

Phil, something tells me that you entertain the entire hill on the ski lift.
Always race chem free. I would feel awful if I let team down or even worse, hurt myself while intoxicated.

Free ski? Well...the sky can be reaaaaaaaalllllly blue sometimes. Just remember, a little goes a long way.
hee hee hee... Yeah, I think anyone who gets *ahem* fired up over the Ganj should *ahem* take a deep breath. Maybe two or three... It helps to alleviate the stress from taking yourself too seriously... And somehow I doubt that dropcliffs is worried about someone finding out...
