What, no hockey fans? - Page 130
But they don't WANT to be...that's the point!
French culture and not English is a big deal
(having to look at the Queen on my money would be painful indeed)
Yeah, the part that should have been buried behind the woodshed at birth.
I have nothing against French Canadians, I'm half French Canadian myself, the separatists trying to ruin my country can go to hell.
I think they need to revisit the team name they chose eh?
(of course if I am proven to be wrong I'll forget my prediction too)
But what's wrong with the Black Hawks that series shouldn't be as close. They really needed to get as much rest time as possible before having to face either the Ducks or Kings. Those two teams are playing great. Boston against either would be one tough final.
Tonight could be interesting in Pittsburgh, I'm not sure WHAT to ecpect!
Pretty much the same thing in Beantown tomorrow too. Guess that means we've had some good hockey...
I'm at that point where I actually half expect the Penguins to lose so it won't be as painful if they do. Crosby needs to quit acting like a Flyer and play like a Penguin. The spear and slewfoot/trip from the last game was just disgraceful. I saw one stat that he has played almost 25 minutes of PP time this series and has 1, yes only 1, shot on goal in those 25 minutes.
I would guess there will be no nonsense in PGH tonight as there is too much on the line. Lunqvist is the proverbial hot goaltender right now with Fleury a little on the shaky side. It should be a great game.
Yeah Penguins need to get back to basics. I think everytime Sid has the puck in the O-zone the crowd needs to just start shouting 'Shoot the damn puck!'.
From my eyeball test the biggest difference between their last two losses and the two shutouts was not so much Fluery as it was the D. In the shutouts guys were getting pushed away from Fluery and hustling for loose pucks. In the two losses Fluery was getting screened, and Rangers were getting to rebounds uncontested and burying them behind Fluery (outside one or two admittedly weak goals). Lundqvist was playing hot too.
Serious question to Rob, Tyler and Rossi. What is the status of Bylsma? It's been rumored an early dirty bird exit and he's gone. (I'm not sure I believe that.) But if he's on the market, he's rumored to be a strong candidate for the Caps.
I heard on the radio today that Bylsma was rumoured to be done if he didn't get them through this round. I also heard that Barry Trotz has spoken to Washington about their coaching job.
In all seriousness, I've only been using it for 2 seasons and it's already falling apart. Have to go shopping. Frickin Reebok crap..I blame Nike for this 2 year life cycle issue. Fortunately most of the guys I play with don't pull the trigger too hard when you're looking like you're going to block a shot...
Trotz is a strong candidate for the job.
In an ideal world, GM would be hired before coach. But good coaches don't stay on the market for long. I haven't followed them day to day to decide how good Bylsma and Trotz are. One did win the Cup....
You don't want one of the boys on the wrong side of the wall when the puck hits!!

Well that's the season for the Pens. From the local news you'd think its the end of an era with big changes to come. Personally I think they have been very successful except for focus in the playoffs. Big changes will just mean it will be a long time until this team finds itself in the playoffs again.
