Nah, it was believable. I was there when Minnesota won Game 7 in OT in 2003, Roy's last game. I didn't go last night. Gave ticket to my daughter! I already saw that movie, lol.
Minnesota played better the entire series. It was a very close series, obviously, but Avs needed to steal Game 3.
It's ok, it's a very young and inexperienced team, although a very talented one (well, except for the D). They overachieved a little bit all year, everything was gravy, so this is good for them, they will learn more from losing that series than from winning it. They weren't winning a cup this year anyway, and yes they would have learned even more by playing Chicago, but I'm totally satisfied. Just need a few upgrades on defense, and more depth on the bottom 6, and we're good to go next year.
AND AT LEAST WE AREN'T THE SHARKS!
Au contraire...they played better in every game except game 2 and the Avs still could have won last night. I knew we were gonna lose when we had the 2 to 1 lead and either Johnson or Holden had the puck deep in our own zone with no pressure on him and passed it right to a Wild player skating fast through the neutral zone and they tied the score 30 seconds later after getting 2 or 3 shots on goal
Our defensemen have more giveaways than any team I've ever paid attention to...we needs some serious talent upgrades on the back end......
You haven't been watching the Pens v CBJ series. The giveaway numbers were ridiculous.
