Stick a fork in 'em, they're done.
What, no hockey fans? - Page 118
Yeah, well... so I will switch back to a NHL person rather than a US person, and I am very happy for Selanne, a great guy and a legendary player. It's a great way for him to go out, Olympics wise. Although, never say never, I guess. And of course there is still the Cup to come, and the Ducks look goooood....
I just can't believe it sometimes, when he was in Denver years ago, we all thought he was done. Kaput. He wasn't good. (Yes, he was injured, and the lockout break helped a lot ... he obviously spent it splashing around in the fountain of youth.)
And hopefully Kane and Parise and Backes and the other Central Division guys will be devastated and tank the rest of their seasons...
too bad the American team did not seem interested in getting an Olympic medal. They will greatly regret it later. Although I think the Finns still would have beat them.
Russia looks to be topping the medal count. Good for the host nation but expect they would have gladly given a number of their other 11 gold medals for one from hockey.
Canada goes for #10 at 3am -undecided if that's an early morning or very late night but watching.
We had quite a few of those this year, this is very fun winter in Chicago, snow - sledding on 15' mountains and ice skating/hockey everywhere. My girls love winter and we are going outside to have fun ! Mom says bed time - I say fun time - no school tomorrow !
Probably cuz all the play is in Pittsburgh's end and they're trying to give them a break by switching them to the slow, snowy end in hopes of giving them some self-respect back...
They don't get a break ... it's just to even up any advantage/disadvantage from outdoor conditions, like any other north-south sport. With three periods instead of two (or four), must get creative.
