Hey I have a question for Canadiens fans- what's with all the Chara-booing? Seems kinda low-lifeish and I was wondering if there was some kind of memo that was sent out or if all Habs fans are just genetically predisposed to make themselves look like poor winners? They played a great game and Carey Price is obviously a cyborg, so congrats on the win but I was just curious...

We could start completely new thread on what NHL franchise has the worst or most notorious fans. Boston would be near the top of that list.

But then, that's kind of a part of hockey isn't it... Rough sport, rough fans

Yeah, what did Chara do to deserve that?

You better pray for a Philly win, cause the pens don't stand a chance against Alexander the Great!!

Rockin the Red tonight in DC

GO CAPS!

My real team's the Blackhawks (watch out in the next few years -- these kids are sick), but my team in the east is the flyers and every bad stereotype about philly fans was borne out last night -- they'll turn on you in a dime.

I've never seen the life go out of a crowd as hard as it did last night in Philly -- people who who were all charged up in face paint, etc. at the beginning of the night walking out with 8 minutes left.

Keeping my fingers crossed for tonight. If they play like they did yesterday though, I'll need more than some crossed fingers. That was some sad hockey.

Habs fans are passionate fans, how are they poor winners? I don't see anything wrong with booing the captain of a rival team or chanting to the goalie "Thommmmmas... Thommmmmas... Thommmmmas..." It's called home ice advantage for a reason. My 2 cents anyways...

Thing is we have 3 just like him

Caps will be good, but they gotta age a little and gel as a team. Next year is promising for you.

I wanted a Capitals win to see Alex play in the next round. Next season he'll mature and I'm sure be explosive for the Capitals. The same goes for the Bruins with 19 year old Lucic and 22 year old Bergeron. The way Lucic could read the plays during the Canadians series blew me away.

Yep, I let my 9 year old stay up to watch it. Just after they scored the goal, I saw the first tear roll down his cheek. My wife called me this morning. He hasn't spoke, and was not in the mood for breakfast. The only problem is if he ranks his favorite teams they go:

1. Capitals
2. Canadians
3. Penguins

If the stars align for the Flyers this year, I could wind up with a full-blown Philly hater when this is all said and done....................

Hey I have no problem with fans being passionate, it just seemed like poor sportsmanship to me. It has given me great pleasure to see the team progress throughout the season- Lucic is a God in progress, Chara is still the scariest man on the ice, and next year is going to be a hell of a year! See ya all next season- hopefully as your boys are being sent over the boards, but that remains to be seen...

If Turco didn't have a 5 hole bigger than the state of Texas I'd be bragging a lot more. But, I'm pulling for the Stars anyway.

19 year old Lucic was great to watch, no doubt about that. To bad versus won't have the first Canadiens v Flyers game... and I get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow, what am I to do. >:O

I wouldn't worry too much, while the flyers are my team in the east, I'd be really surprised if they put on a good showing against the Habs.

Listened to the Canadien's game on a Quebec radio station. Awesome rally in the final minute of regulation and the first minute in OT. Go Habs go!

I know you guys following the western teams aren't paying attention to the Pens but they're 6-0 in the playoffs. As I said at the top, the way they're playing defense is the real difference. A little more tome together and Crosby and Hossa will be finding the net a lot more. Pens are the team to beat in the east, sorry Habs fans but that's just the way it is.
Let see when they play an NHL team.

If I was putting my money down it would go on the Wings
post #54 of 2560
I wish I could be so confident. Being a life long Wings fan, I have seen them blow many too many series after winning the first two games.

I doubt it's gonna happen this series. The Avs look horrible. I'm not even sure home ice can get them one game. I'm saying sweep.

I have a question, that maybe you as a Wings fan can answer?

Collectively, as a team, exactly how much Geritol is required to get through 3 periods of hockey?

But, I sure would like a new Stars Stanley Cup Champions T-Shirt. My current one from 99 is looking very ratty.
My Hurricanes Cup Champions shirt from 06 is still looking sharp, but it needs to for many more years based on the way that orginization has crumbled
