Hey, that was not a lucky shot. It didn't deflect ... whassisname got a stick on it right before Landeskog shot, so it was a bit knuckly, but that made it a great shot...
Sort of disappointing game in that we didn't get to see them go after each other like they could have, but the early penalties ruined that. I mean, that was a little crazy. And those weren't all because of Pittsburgh's dominating play, like a bunch of hooks holds and trips -- mostly it was sloppiness by the Avs. Too many men, puck over glass, elbowing, that awkward boarding call on Johnson (yeah, call it, but really? little dude lost an edge) ... those aren't because you're behind the play.
But in a lot of ways it was a very entertaining game, as well. It's fun to see the team buy in and work their butts off night after night. They are overachieving right now, but that happens when you work like that. They have underachieved for years, so it's just nice to see.
And someone buy Francoise Allaire a donut or something. Damn.
