What, no hockey fans?

A web site for winter sports enthusiast and no jibber jabber about hockey? OK, I'll start. It says right here that the Pittsburgh Penguins are going to take the Stanley Cup. (You didn't see that coming now did you?)

With Malkin, Crosby and Stall they've got great strength up the middle not to mention the most exciting young talent in the league. The deadline trade that brought Hossa and Dupuis to play with Crosby has the potential to be a fantastic scoring line to go with Malkin, Malone and Sykora. I can't think of a team so deep in offense. I would consider Crosby's line to be the #2 line because they've not played together but one game.

What really has me believing is the Pen's defensive play. Not only great defense in Gonchar, Scuderi, Orpick, Gill, Letang and really good goalies in Fluery and Conklin but the offense plays great D also. I'd mention Whitney but he's been moved to wing for inconsistent defensive play.

The only thing that will stop this team is their inexperience but they should have learned from last year and the level of play they've faced down the stretch this year.

Let's Go Pens!

The Wings look like they may be falling apart again. I hope they pull it together come the playoffs.

Love to see the Irish beat Michigan in the Frozen Four.

Growing up im Minnesota and migrating to the Dallas area after the Dallas Minnesota "Hershell Walker Trade" that Minnesotans say also brought the Stars to Dallas I pull for the Stars first then my current hometown Hurricanes next. The Stars delivered when I lived in Dallas and the Canes have made it to the finals twice in the past 4 years bringing it home on my birthday in 06. They are looking good but not great. I'll get excited if they make the finals.

Go Habs, Go!

What's a Hab? Habitual offender?

the nickname might have been the result of an error. According to NHL.com, the first man to refer to the team as "the Habs" was Tex Rickard, owner of Madison Square Garden, in 1924. Rickard apparently told a reporter that the "H" on the Canadiens' sweaters was for "Habitants." Not true. The distinctive C-wrapped-around-H logo stands for "Club de Hockey Canadien."

Short for Habitant. (Montreal Canadian)

I think we are doomed to disagree. I still think Hull's goal should have been disallowed.

Screw the Habs. Screw the Irish.

M Go Blue.
Go Bruins.
Go Sharks!

Go Rangers! I may live in Pittsburgh, but I grew up in Upstate NY and am a lifelong Rangers fan.

Laurel, I do root for the Pens when they aren't playing the Rangers.

Mike, you must be happy tonight for the OT win. The Pens looked a little off and the big guns have been quiet. Rangers should make the play-offs and would make a great rematch. Pens picked up a point and moved 2 atop Montreal for the division lead. It's going to be a fun run.

Hmmm.... North Stars, why does that team sound familiar, Mario?

It's all good fischermh. I don't follow hockey "religiously" unless one of my teams actually makes it to the finals. Then, It's on! Although, the only cup game I ever got to go to the Wings stomped the Canes 4-1:

I'll get more excited about in in a month if either of the teams I have jerseys for is still in it.:

The distinctive CH in the middler of the rink stands for "Center Hice" (accent).

Guess who's tied for 1st in the East.

The East? That is the minors right?

Not for long

Laurel, nice win for the Pens last night in their final home game to lock up the division. Montreal is still likely to end up 1st overall in the East though.

Rangers can wrap up a playoff spot tonight. I'd actually like them to finish 6th and get Carolina or Washington in the 1st round, but it looks like it may be 5th and the Devils in the 1st round.

Bring on the Senators and I don't mean Hill, Barack, or John.

Big Pens fan here Rob. Tonight should be sweet....total sweep. Hopefully the Pens rip that mural off the locker room wall and bring it back to PGH with them, lol.

I have a feeling watching the playoffs since game 1, that I haven't had in 15-16 years. This team just might be able to do it.

Les Canadiens de Montréal! 3-1

Well, don't know what to make of my beloved Wild this post season. With two of our top three defensemen out with injury or illness, it's going to take quite an effort to beat the Ave's. Still think the Ave's are quite beatable. Frankly, I don't see either the Wild or Ave's making much of a run deep into the playoff's.

Was pitying the poor team that had to play San Jose in the first round, then checked on the season between Calgary and the Sharks and saw that Calgary had San Jose's number this season. So, I guess I'm not too surprised that the Flames are giving the Sharks fits. My bet is San Jose to take it, and then rip apart either the Ave's or the Wild.

Would love to see Dallas win only because they would be beating the Ducks. From a Wild perspective, the roof would blow off the Xcel center if the Wild could meet Dallas in the finals, but I really doubt that will happen.

Detroit vs San Jose for the West title would also be a great series! Pens vs Habs in the East. San Jose vs. Pen's, with Pittsburgh taking the Cup home.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it....which means that it'll turn out to be Dallas vs Philly

And the Ducks said Quack Quack and waddled home

Bring on the Sharks (or Calgary?):

:If Dallas had a better tender I'd be bragging a lot more. Turco is sketchy, he's got a HUGE 5 hole. But, they're one of the few teams left that has been my home team (twice, lived in MN from 72 thru 83 then moved to the Dallas area before ending up in NC now). I lived on Long Island from 84-89 and got all excited about being able to go see the Islanders dynasty. Just so happens that is when they started to suck so I gave up on hockey for awhile I lived there. I guess the Rangers are OK, went to a couple of their games, just never really followed them.

It has been said that the Stars were included in the Dallas Cowboys Minnesota Vikings Hershell Walker trade

LET'S GO BRUINS! Anybody who DIDN'T see game 6 should remove their eyes because they missed the craziest playoff game ever... It single-handedly got three of my friends who don't watch hockey- you guessed it- into hockey. Look out tonight- BIG GAME! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

On my way to the Flyers game tonight... We'll see how Ovie and his boys deal with a 6th night of pounding (although game 5 was a bit weak).

Hopefully, we'll be seeing an Intra-Penn series next (and hopefully I'll get another great deal on tickets )
Penns Flyers will have to wait until next round for a chance. We get the caps if they win tonight or the rangers if Philly wins.

Boston got owned last night!
