OK.....sorry for the delay. The WM still hasn't finished his stuff but I'm launching this anyway. All items listed are or will be 60% off. Those that are not up at this price yet will be when the WM gets his stuff done. (Probably Monday) so....bear with me.

(LP 'Snowbird' will have an updated price on Moday....same as the regular LP)

How does shipping work and how long?

Thanks

Mon-Fri, items are usually shipped within 24 hours. Last shipment goes out 3:30-4:00 PM PDT each day. Sat, Sun orders are shipped the following Monday. Ground shipping is free, 3 day, 2 day, rocketship etc. cost extra.

No charge for the box, but tape is extra.

Actually, the women's skis is what I'm ogling. My girlfriend is a light (120-125#) advance intermediate who is now venturing into lots of steeper black diamond off-piste terrain. She currently is on a pair of 161cm Thrusters and 166cm Nordica 'The Beast' skis. She needs something better in crud & on groomers than the Thruster. I've heard the Exclusive Legend Powder skis much like a softer version of the Mythic Rider. If so, that would be ideal. Any comments?

Rio: Your description of your girlfriend sounds a lot like my wife. I picked up a pair of 158 Exclusive Powders (last year's demos) for her a couple of weeks ago on a whim, and she absolutely fell in love with them last weekend. I don't think you'll be sorry, and at Jim's price, if she doesn't like them, you should be able to flip them at little or no loss.

Here is an update just to clarify something. It's true that the XXL was not cataloged this year '08 in the 187 size. However, a few were built and the ones we have are in fact 187's in the current '08 graphic.

If only you shipped to Canada...

Saw a "deal" at a store in Whistler on the LP's with P12's for 1,000 CAD (marked down from 1,700). Ouch!
Just bought the GF some 158cm Exclusive Legend Powder skis. I have some of last year's Look Exclusive bindings to put on them. Now I have to decide whether to mount the bindings with lifters on them or not. The decisions never end.

FWIW:

I think the ELP is one of the best skis that practically nobody knows about. I think that within it's shape range it is fully comparable (better in some ways) to the now sadly departed Queen Attiva from Volkl.

Jim, what brake size is on the Dynastar PX-12 Race bindings?

It's the std 80mm version. Probably an easy bend to 85 or so.

I just checked the shipping line, there are about 10 pr of XXL's in the queue right now. At the current rate, it looks like maybe the 194 might last a few hours and (maybe) only a few minutes for the 187's.

Does "Race" mean no lifter in PX12?
Also, is there any weight difference between PX12 and PX12Ti?
Thanks.
Jim,

Is the PX 15 a heavy binding? Is it going to add a ton of weight to my Gotamas as opposed to a similar binding in class?

The PX 15/18 are heavier than the std PX-12/14 etc. b/c they use the solid aluminum toepiece housing. This is the old single pivot LOOK toe that goes all the way back to the Z-Forza etc. bindings. They are quite a bit heavier than the full drive toe found on the commercial bindings. The heels are basically the same.

They are very similar but it may (or may not) be worth noting that the 15/18 heels have a couple differences from the 12/14 etc.
-Shorter hole pattern.
-Worm drive FP adjustment instead of ladder track
-Mo' burly construction of the track, very similar to Salomon comp bindings

Here is a pic showing a couple of those details closer up, sorry for crappy quality:

The PX15s various versions are my fave binding right now. Reasonable settings are usable, and it works really well. Not the lightest binding on earth, but not the heaviest either. I can't believe you aren't sold out of them at the excellent price you have there.

Good illustration. I agree, I like it a lot too. I saw some boot/ski coupling measurements being taken some years ago. The old Forza (now px-15) toe had the tightest roll coupling of any binding.

The reasons that I haven't sold out are (a) not a lot of folks know about this binding (b) I bought two pallets full..........

This one is a wrap..............next up................Chineese Food

"Chineese Food"? Do tell?
