Put the fork down and step away from the season. - Page 2

I am done with skiing for this season. It is a shame to finish skiing while there is so much snow in the East, but I had to make a choice between riding and skiing. With mountain bike season starting soon (first race April 27), I need to do 8-12 hours of riding per week (4-6 hours of that in the weekend).

I only managed 35 ski days this season (lowest in several years).

OK God, I get it. No more skiing for me this season.
Reality hits home. Everything within 4 hours of me is now closed. I had worked out a feesible plan to take one more expensive and grueling major roadtrip to BumpPhest and get in about 4 more hours of skiing (drive 28 hours to ski 4-would have been AWESOME TOO!). But, work demended my services Monday morning-planned to stop somewhere with an internet connection and work online for that. Then, everything I had to do this weekend got rained out and I can't get out of it next weekend now. I was supposed to take the little kids on their first ever fishing trip, also have a pee wee baseball game. They are sooo excited and cried all weekend when we couldn't go fishing. So, I promised them next weekend we will go. I also will have about $400 more dollars in the bank to spend on spring and summer recreation. I have a new surfboard I'mdying to try out.
OK God, I get it. No more skiing for me until fall.

Snowed here in S. Vt today, I am afraid the local area is going to close on a mountain covered in snow.

Now you've got me thinkin'
Who needs skis when you're behind the jet boat!!!???

It's probably about the only time I don't get slapped when I ask a woman if she wants to be barefoot .
