Aaaww what a wonderful day!

Yesterday I got really fed up with the rat race going on at the office.
So when I came home I rang up my mom and told her to get ready for this morning, oh-eight-fifteen sharp, in all her skiing robe.
Woke up, took mom and the equipment and off we went.
You see, my mom is nearly 70, and in January 2007 she busted her left acl in a fall. Did not ski again since.
But still used to wander around the house with a sad expression every time the conversation was turning to skiing...
So I decided to burn some steam and at the same time have her happy.
Truly I wanted to bring my uncle too, and head to Madesimo (in fact I PM'd Prickly) but since he defected for family reason I decided to stay closer to home. So we drove to the "local" hill, 37 km away.
Fine weather day, sun was shining, the snow was a bit soft (so say the least) not much people around, mainly retired people and mothers with toddler along.
Pink is back! I took my pink pants off the closet...
Given the fine weather I was really tempted to don my cowboy hat instead of the melon saver, but after taking a picture for posterity
decided for the helmet...

The runs there aren't very difficult so I just enjoyed the day and played more attention than usual to "technique" rahter than "tactic".
Tomorrow I'm sure my heart surgeon will have a fit when I'll go to the medical checkup but hey, I couldn't really pass on the opportunity!

Ciao Matteo: I was up Saturday. Saw some nice tracks on the Cavallina, and followed. Snow still pretty light on the entrance chute and first open section; otherwise too heavy for my taste. Canale was great, though, nice and soft with big, big bumps.

knee couldn't hanlde Made runs for sure (it was her first time after the injury)
and she wanted to see if she was still able to ski.
Hapy that you skied during the W/E.
I was thinking about that on sat afternoon and on sunday while "eating" cold
attending speed inline skating events first and little league baseball afterwards.
