What's up with Markers?
Simply put, it has to do with retention. It should take the same force to release any brand binding at a certain release value. Some brands have more or less retention. Marker has the least, meaning when the specified amount of force is reached, bindings start to release, and if the force is no longer there before it reaches a certain amount of travel, they will return to center and not fully release. Marker had the smallest release travel point, others have a larger amount of travel. IIRC, Back when I paid attention (early 90's), Tyrolia had the highest RTC value, Marker the lowest, Salomon was in between but not far behind Tyrolia...
