While shopping for bindings, I notice that some models, particularly Salomon, have spacers under some of the bindings and nothing under another identical binding. This is in addition to the models that have the gadgets that compensate for the flex of the ski. What is the spacer for? What are the pros/cons of having the spacer or not? I don't think this spacer changes the ramp angle because it looks like it's the same thickness (about 1cm) front and rear. Thanks.
