OK... I say we get this thing put together, but have all attendees/spectators wear strictly Day-Glo and Vuarnet to really sell the cheezy 80s ski-off. Maybe even use straight skis?!?! :O I know alot of you probably have something stonewashed in your closet, and a day-glo jacket is only a SAL or tag sale away. This might make the funniest internet clip of all time. We could call it "Gape-a-palooza"...

Here here Prickly.

Trek Chick,
I'll have a chill pill if you got some.

I've been looking for a DayGlo fartbag for a while, but eBay appears to be fresh out. Mens, prolly size L.
No, no, if you're really a large, you need to wear a medium. And grow a 'stache.
I have vuarnets, some reveresable gators colored turcoise and fuschia and some 1980s in my quiver. My fart bag is more 90s though.

You know, Snowshoe, WV is probably the most central location for all parties involved. It's within about an 8-10 hour drive for all competitors and many spectators-TC probably says it's 12 hours for bumpgreaq?. I'd make that trip for this event.

Now let's try this:

Meh, not as well.

I would think if you are going to ski pretty much anywhere south of NY/NJ on the right coast you should probably have a local hill and a sizable airfare budget.

20 hours round trip in an average American car is now more money than a cheap airfare...I say this planning a trip involving about 28 hours of driving next week.

I was just looking for a fair mid point for Rich and Highway Star that has at least 1000' vert drop.
Highway Star surely lives in Jersey?

Never knew where the guy lived, but he skied Killington, ergo he must live in Jersey, no?

Actually, if you're really a large, then you need to cram your package into a small. That will surely get the crowds looking at you in all your poser-ness. :

we have a local rule that if your girth in cm is greater than 1/2 your ski length in cm---it is absolutely prohibited to wear exposed spandex. :

I'd love to. If I miraculously happen upon the cash to fly out there sometime in the next couple weeks, I'll be there. Already have ~2800 miles of driving planned for the next 30 days...don't really see adding to that.
