Stockli group orders for 2008/2009

I was just over at Stockli this week viewing some of the new skis for next year and asked if I could get a group of people together , could we pre-order some of next years cool gear . I was told if 15 or so people are interested in next years goods , they could order any new model with half down now , and the remaining balance in the fall . if anyone is interested in getting in on this let me know . I am just trying to push that brand more since its one of the best out there an worth the money . I for sure will have another pair . we could even do 1/3 down to get the order going , 1/3 in the summer and the final balance in the fall .

Are they offering discounts as part of the group buy? My biggest gripe with Stockli gear is it's way too expensive and skis of the same performance level can be had elsewhere for less.

Count me in for at least one pair, possibly two.

I'm still waiting to get clarity on the full lineup for 0809
so it would be great if they could send along a list of model choices/descriptions.

I'm a newbie at this site and also a newbie to Stockli skis as well. I just purchased the Stormrider XL in 184 and I love them. I'm ready to throw my old skis in the trash.

Anyway, I would be interested in getting a pair of GS skis. So let me know.

How would I go about viewing the new line of skis to decide what I want?

Thanks,
Johnny

as you know , stockli is not allowed to advertise prices online . What will happen is once I get a list of 10 plus buyers , I will go over and negotiate the best deal . The more skis the better though .

Nice move Gator. I already have a great relationship with importer here in Oz, so I won't be joining in, but a nice way to share the experience.

Its hard to push Stockli products as so few shops carry them . I had to really push on the Rep to get him to consider it . But we will see how it works . if all goes well, I think we might even have a stockli meet in colorado next fall . would be a great way to meet others and just ski with some fun folks .

Gator,

I bought a pair of XXL's this year and I'm hooked on them. My wife and daughter need new skis and I would consider ordering a pair or two I their women's line is a little fatter next year. They want something wider than a 67-68 mm waist. I also can't find anything about next year's models anywhere - any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

Doing my own research on the rules of stockli skis , it has become clear to me that only dealers can sell stockli products . rather than try and work around this , i suggest anyone interesed in their products , contact your stockli dealer and pick up a pair of their excellent skis .

Couldn't we from a buying group and go through a dealer?

I would be into buying at least 1, maybe 2 pairs. I'm looking to add the XXL and possibly the new DP Pro+.

Johnny,

Can you give me a little overview of your experiences with the stormrider XL?

I have a 94mm waist ski and I will be picking up a true powder ski this year as well, but I have been in the market for a hardsnow, ice, mogul ripper for some time and the Stockli Stormrider XL is on the top of the list. I'm 6'0 212 lbs and would probably look at the 184.

Any experience on the XXL?

I haven't heard anything from Gator, but if anyone here is interested, I can put together a group preseason order from Stocki. I would have to work out pricing and see what we could come up with. Anyone still interested?

I would definitely be interested in the Stormrider XL, although still not clear on the real world differences between the XL and the XL "ED".

I demoed the XXL last week, and can tell you that it is one fine ski for all conditions..I highly recommend this ski for anyone looking for a hardcharging, forgiving ski..

I haven't been able to find any info online re: 2009 Stocklis.
Does anyone have any links?

Search at Teton Gravity.

The new Stormrider VXL intrigues me. It is 85 underfoot but not sure if it's Isocore or Wood.

Also, the DP Pro + and the SS at 101 pique my interest. I'm curious to see if the new TT is 101 underfoot as well.

Hey Dawgcatching, I would be really keen to get a pair of the Stockli Rotors; if am not to late to get in on the act.

Is there anywhere that we can go to have a look at the new 08/09 ski's as well?

Here is a link to 2009 Stocklis. If you enlarge the pic, you can see the sidecuts on the skis.
