If your over 30 years try the Mosquitoâ„¢ ultrasonic teenage Snowboarder Deterrent. Tired of being hit by snowboarders. Here is a solution. You may want to turn this thing off before getting in the lift line. Or maybe not. : Optional use for finding a table in the lodge at lunch time. Also very useful camping out waiting in long lines for concert tickets and new electronic games. Requires portable 12 volt power supply.''

This is meant to be a joke. I do not want anyone actually going out and doing this. Obviously we need laws to prevent this sort of thing.

Hahaha, we were just talking about these in physics. Higher frequency means most adults ears aren't sensitive enough to hear it. Apparently they use them in front of department stores for the same reason. I think I'd make it a point to be near it just so the guy who bought it gets angry that there are still teens loitering around. (Oh no!) So jokes still on you. And one more thing, how do you guysknow it's working when you can't hear it? :

I read an equally effective and more pleasant way that a shop owner used a few years ago. He played classical music over the loud speaker outside his store. That drove them away in a hurry.

Could work.. but I'm a fan of classical music. You guys really need to start trying a little harder.

My Goode poles have new grips.

Mace/pepper canisters; one pointed forwards and one aft.

Works like a charm but you do have to be at speed to stay ahead of the pulme depending on wind direction and velocity.

patent pending .... with optional spike tips ...

There was a 7-11 that used to play music by Dean Martin, Jerry Vale, Johnny Ray, etc over the speakers to drive away knuckleheads who used to congregate outside the store.

Doesn't just work for teenagers. I'm 35 and I can hear those things. I've had to ask people to turn off those sound machines people put in their houses to chase off rodents before I went bonkers.

My wife, in contrast, thinks I am about deaf.

FWIW, many of my son's friends have a cell phone ring tone that has a tone close to the ultasonic range. They can hear it fine, but I had no clue it was ringing!

If I was a miscreant teen, I'd see this as a great reason to buy a BB gun.

I don't bother asking anymore, I just turn it off before I even say hi to Grandma, and turn it back on when I leave. She has a particularly virulent one in her garage.

True story: It used to bother me more ten years ago. High frequency hearing loss sucks.

You're not deaf, you are just suffering from male selective hearing syndrome. Most of us have that problem. :

No need to be nasty. If you are really bothered by boarders who are obnoxious, try to be nice and take their picture. It will surely have an immediate impact on the behavior of their friends !!!
