FS: 2008 Fischer Cold Heat 170cm $390 OBO

I have the 2008 Cold Heat w/RXZ13 binding in 170m for $390. These skis have around 6 full days on them. I recieved them a month ago as a replacement pair. Great skis, but I need to make room and free up some cash for more gear on the way. Bases are in near-new condition (I will hot-scrape them and give them a mini-tune) and the topsheets have a couple of light scratches, which are hard to see (black topsheets, so just clearcoat scuffs mostly)

Also, I have a pair each of the same ski, new w/binding, in 176cm and 182cm. The price on those is $475 per pair. All of the above skis come with warranty. PM me if interested.

My profile:
  • 5'9", 190 lb (on a good day)
  • Been skiing for around 4 seasons, ~10 trips per season (getting in closer to 15 this year)
  • Most of my time has been at smaller areas in New Hampshire
  • Ski mostly groomers but have started to ski bumps and glades
  • Would consider myself to be a solid intermediate...can ski some harder blues/easy blacks at small areas. Working on carving skills but I know I still do a lot of skidding.
  • Currently skiing on 170 cm Atomic C8s
Would these skis be a good match or would they be too much for me at this point? Also, how would thay handle on eastern hardpack/ice?

Considering your size & skill the ski would be very good for both New England hardpack & western groomed conditions. It will also perform well in boot-top deep snow at moderate speeds.

The ski will want to carve and will not want to skid when on edge, but thats a good thing.

Yes, these are sold. I can get you a new pair w/bindings for $450 though, if you are willing to wait a few days for the 170cm length.

Agreed. I bought these skis from Dawgcatching, they look new. Bases are perfect. I rewaxed them and touched up the edges since I tune skis part time for a local shop. Only light scratches on the top sheets. I did a couple of runs on them, but they are redundant with my Stormrider XXLs. I've always liked Fischer and these are a great all mountain ski. They have ben tuned and waxed since the two runs I've skied them. $325 shipped or I'll try e-bay on Monday. Let me know.
