On most days, I wear one of those fleece face masks that covers your nose and lower half of your face. If you wear one of those, bring it along when trying on goggles and check for any gaps where the goggles may not cover the fleece. Any uncovered skin can be brutal on a cold day. And FWIW, I've never had a fogging problem while wearing this and I've used Oakley and Smith goggles.
