Level 5 skier, 128lbs, 5'10"... not really sure what to buy for her birthday/our anniversary. She is partial to European skis growing up in Europe... so Salomon, Fischer, and Volkl but all considerations will be taken. Primary use is for North Eastern Hardpack

Dynastar Exclusive Carve seems to work out well for a lot of women.

Too much ski for her? She is still very cautious on blues.

Volkl Fuego and Fischer Vision Breeze -- very popular by the ski diva standards.

How are her boots?

The current iteration of that ski is pretty mellow. Dynastar seems to keep recycling names on different skis.

I think I'll be going with a 153 Dynastar Exclusive Carve with the Exclusive AFC Bindings... the ski has some stellar reviews and it looks nice with the bindings. Now time to play the waiting game for some deals. As for the boots I know it just needs to fit good, we'll go to a good fitter for this. Thanks for the quick replies bears.

Given you are in Boston area. If you can get up to Sunapee next thursday, ProctorJones Nashua is doing a demo day with all the brands and a it is only $30 for lift and demos. All reps are supposed to be there.

I think you need to get your ticket online in advance, so keep that in mind. I am so jealous that my wife is going without me. I get the kids, and she gets to play.

Yeah it's all about compromise! On another note, I now need to make myself a list to demo for the day. I have RX8's for the hardpack but I want something now for off-piste, glades, occasional powder, and my trips to Europe (+1 for European girlfriend!)

1. PE's
2. Mantra
3. Gotama
4. Volkl Bridge

Unfortunately the kids are in School (9 and 10 yo) and I have a soccer game to coach otherwise there would be a sitter to cover the school issue. I already planned that route, but I would cut her day short if we didn't take 2 cars. Oh well. She will probably enjoy a day without me.
