March 8. Marquette Mountain, Marquette Michigan.

The Dan Hornbogen Memorial ski race is a very unique opportunity to showcase your versatility as a racer with 4 separate events in one day! 1 run each of Downhill, Super-G, GS and Slalom. (Remember, this is Michigan, so keep that in mind when you think of DH and SG)

Contact Marquette Mountain for details.

Lots of great prizes, and a super fun atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to enter, regardless of age of ability.

The first out of towner to PM me and tell me they are going to be here gets a free lift ticket. If you live in the midwest, c'mon up.

Wow!  Nice job finding this year old thread!  I forgot to make a race announcement this year.

You must have seen my buddy's picture on facebook, right?  You are correct, I was on top of the podium, but only in my age group (30-39).  It felt good to still be competitive even though I'm at the extreme edge of that group!  40 in November!

The event was absolutely fantastic!  The weather was perfect and the snow stayed firm.  In the overall, after adding up all the times for 4 full events, my buddy Ben won by 5 HUNDREDTHS!!!!  It was a huge accomplishment too, since the second place guy is coached by Ben, and just last weekend qualified for US NATIONALS in Alaska!  Logan Paquet.   Root for him against the US ski teamers at Aleska!

Yeah, saw the pic on FB and googled hoping to find results.  Found this old thread instead.

Way to go...it's got to be cool to stand on the top of the podium, whatever the circumstances.

Congrats too, to Ben and his protoge.  Hope he makes his name in AK.
