Dont be the kid with hands in armpits and poles sticking straight up.
Practice your tuck in front of the mirror. The poles should wrap neatly around
yourself in streamlined manner. IMO opinion, most new racers have no perception of what their tuck looks like (often pretty dorky). It is important to practice this body position so you can see
it and remember what the correct position FEELS like.
Want to be super dorky? Bring your new poles to the gym and practice your tuck on an upside down bosu ball in front of the mirrors. Huge.
