Also, who has plans for skiing Saturday? I'm almost certainly going to be there for Saturday as well. Stowe is too far (and far too much fun) to spend only one day there! Does quad base by the Stowe Toys demo center at 9:00 work for any Saturday skiers?
see first post, but 9:30 at the base lodge.

I can close my eyes and see me skiing Tuckerman's. But the mental image of me climbing up is a fog bank. An honest look at my conditioning would make a trip like that out of the question. I can't even make it that far on the treadmill.

May would be better.

Looks like we are in.
However, I have little confidence (well none, really) in my ability to get myself and these guys moving quickly enough to find you guys. (Ordinarily I'd drive up the night before, but special circumstances...)

Any ideas how to find you guys if we arrive late?

(Talking about the Bumphest, BTW, not the Tucks that has wormed itself into this thread.)

Kevin,
Check your PM's for my cell number. I fully plan on being there Saturday but 9 may be too early. Give me a call.

Phil - If you still plan to do Okemo on Fri., I may join you. I'm leaving Philly very early Fri. and will ski late morning and afternoon someplace in So. Vt.

I've got some internet issues so access between now and then is "iffy". If anyone else wants to link up send a PM

Didn't make it up to Magic. Injured my foot playing basketball which was today diagnosed as a stress fracture. Probably wouldn't have been able to make it up to Stowe this weekend, but it's a moot point now.

Have fun in the bumps.

For anyone wondering about last night's weather. It didn't rain too much. It rained really hard in bursts, and was starry in between bursts. The hill was a bit of a tundra today, but there's no brown. If we get some sun we could have some really nice snow.

I'm going to try to get there for the 9:30 meetup, but there is a lot of ways to get behind schedule.

The latest National Weather Service forecast (linked from the Stowe, page, to http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...x=175&map.y=68
has changed from "mix" to all snow for tonight. Lets hope it stays that way.... Positive thoughts, everyone. Sunday still mostly sunny, 42 degrees, no wind.

Anybody going to be around Stowe Saturday morning? My gf doesn't want to ski and I'm going to be making some turns til 1:00 or so.

Stowe should be in great shape for the weekend. Thursday was one of the best spring ski days I've had in a long time. Today, Friday was a good day but the skiing was tough. Visibility was poor at times and the snow was heavy but still a good day.

If anyone is around pm me and we'll try to set something up.

From the Mad River Glen Weather Blog.

BTW - I mentioned that I might bring my daughter, she opted for a college visit and won't be going. Thought I should mention it in case there are kids looking for kids.

Check your pm for my cell number.

I arrived about noon. Weather was 100% rain until lturning off RT 100 to Stowe. Snowed all afternoon on the slopes. Skiiing was very good except for visability. The snow cover is amazing considering the late time of year. No brown spots that I saw.

Yes it is! Of the hills we've made it to in VT this week this is by far my favorite. In some ways it reminds me of a western resort with the more wide open trails than a lot of the others here.

I just wish it was an hour or even two away instead of what we have in MI.
