MA please?

Conditions: 24'' base, refrozen granular. Skis: 165cm Rossignol 9S slalom skis.
I was really working on carving short arcs and committing to my edges hard on the surface.

Your lack of a giant grin is a concern .Or where you afraid of the chill factor ?

Well that's a good point.

Seldon, you mentioned that carving short arcs was you goal. Due to the biomechanics involved with the kinetic chain you must first contract the muscles of the face (in the area of the mouth) such that the lips are pulled into an arc that approximates the turn radius you hope to achieve. Like this:

The top four are from Eagle's Nest, Alta below Western Airlines. The bottom one is in Thirds (alta). They were taken the second week in January.

What !?! You can ski knee deep powder on 165 SL skis?

I guess you did not get the memo from the fat ski crowd on this issue.
