PSA: Best Ski Sale In The Country? (Skiing is not expensive this time of year)

Here in the Great PNW our end of season sales are of the progressive style:

Week 1 30% off of MSRP

Week 2 40% off of MSRP

Week 3 50% off of MSRP

(most all hardgoods and softgoods included)

So do you buy now for best selection, or do you wait for the best price?

Week 2 40% off of MSRP starts tomorrow (2/22) or Saturday (depends on the store)

I'm guessing 40% off MSRP still isn't that good. Its kind of like relating a car's price to the MSRP- no one pays retail anymore.

Yeah, I've done a LOT of looking for Recons over this season and these "sale" prices aren't all that great.

50% ain't bad though. That is typical end-of-year, late-March pricing. Only Ebay is cheaper, and you don't get warranty or service over there.

...and you don't always know who your dealing with either.

Found a REALLY GREAT price on Recons here (This year's skis, including integrated bindings at $600, not the $839 of Sturtevants):

Unfortunately, they are out of 167's, which is what I want.
