I am 16 years old right now (17 in a bit over a month). I started skiing when I was 4, but only went once or twice a year until last year, when I actually started skiing more seriously (and finally convinced my dad to ski).

Lets see, not counting the one year of no snow, and 3 years of misplaced priorities, it adds up to 26 ski seasons.
I have 30 years and a little over 2 months to go before I ski for free at ALTA. I plan to make it there. OK I'll be 50 in February, but I still feel like a kid.

Younger people (mid thirties especially) sometimes try to figure out how old I am but I am stubborn zip lipped about it and none can pry it out. But I slip up now and then telling stories about the good old days which blows my cover. Got a few grey hairs so they know I'm over 29 (39?) but I heh heh he's got that young face look too -dave

13 years but I've only managed to ski for one week each year due to being born in a crappy flat country. So all you folks who live near a resort - MAKE THE MOST OF IT! However this year in 45 days time, (that's 19 working days, 145.2 working hours!!) I get to ski for 5 weeks in a row so I'm hoping to "mature".

Woohooo! Phartayyy!
We're going to have to take minker out and get her drunk for her 21st...

Speaking of drinking, how's this for confusing....

Minker was legal to buy beer when I was just old enough to drive, but I just counted, and I'm a year older than she is! :

I'll be 4 in December.

My first teacher (in Kitzbuhel) was in his 70th year on skis. If he's still alive (touch wood) I assume he's still skiing.

In skiing years, I'm 32. I don't remember starting (I was too young), so I'm going with a starting age of 3.

Most of those seasons consisted of only a few trips to the slopes, but they've been getting more numerous lately.

Tag, congrats on your 40th ski-birthday. I celebrated my 40th last season; one of the most fun in recent memory. I've got another 20-25 in me, easily (if I keep my helmet on).

34th ski season just started.
And... 1962 was a great year ...for me.
My first day on skis was Dec 25, 1959 so I guess that I am comming up on 42 years.
I'm 53.

I look 43 (or so strangers and friends tell me.

I can still do most (but not all) of the things I could do when I was 33.

There are some days however, when I feel like I'm 63.

I started sking when I was in High School, but didn't really begin to get serious (and good) at it until five years ago.

Forteen years; Lived in NYC; a date took me up to Smuggler's Notch in Vermont for my first time.It was great; lived in Utah nine seasons now. Got the bug. I'm 48.

First breath 61, wet my first pair of ski pants in 64 , spilled my first beer me thinks about 76 (legal to drink 79). Act like 25 when able , body says 80 every morning , folically impaired and hate all new music .....so this would make me 40 ...take off the 3-4 years in a fog (what you can't remember don't count right)living in Banff would now make me 35 1/2 ????
