Big Sky February 9-12

I just returned from a great trip to Big Sky. This was my 3rd time there, but the first time I really skied the mountain as this is only my 4th season skiing. Don't have any steep pow shots to share, but here's what I got. For those of you on the fence about ESA Big Sky, DON'T MISS IT! OK, here we go:

Base area at the start of the day:

Rio and his GF Marian, both from Bozeman, who skied with us on Saturday and were great company and mountain hosts:

View from our hotel window (we stayed at the Summit Lodge Hotel):

Skiing with Ursula Howland, master skier and coach. You can see Ursula and Lone Peak in this shot:

View from Congo, a great intermediate tree/bump run:

Another view from Congo, this one with Lone Peak:

Me in front of the Pinnacle Restaurant at the top of Ramcharger and Thunder Wolf lifts:

Skiing in fluffy stuff down Chuck's Run:

Until next time!

Thanks for not including much of Marian's and my skis in the photo. I don't want anyone to notice we're on the same ski.....its way too gaperish.

DH did ok once he got some help with bootfitting. He was in seminar a lot and enjoyed that thoroughly. I have a pic of him on his board at the top of Chuck's Run, but he didn't like it (do any of us like pics of ourselves?) so I didn't post it.

AAAW, I thought it was sweet, especially because the skis are such cool boards.

The truth is (and you know this because you took a few photos with my camera) that the LCD screen is barely visible outdoor, especially with goggles (and for me, without my reading glasses), so it's amazing that I got any good photos at all!

Hmmmm, his & her Districts.....that'd works for me. I wish they made them in a light skiers size. On the day of the picture my Districts were in my locker at Bridger Bowl. It was the one day during SNWL's trip that was mainly a groomer day.
