I'm about your skill level and also ski a Fischer RX6 -- and I have Nordica Beast 10 boots. I'm in my second season with them. Wasn't overy impressed with them last year, but got them punched and tweaked a bit for this year by our bootfitter (and got Intuition liners) and I like them better. Still not something I'll probably buy again whenever I need a new pair. My early concerns were numb toes and pinched forefoot, before punching. Not fun.
My main gripe with them now is for some reason they don't seem to be able to fit my instep properly. I was unaware I had a high instep.
My bootfitter is baffled.
I also dislike the way they let snow in at the shell toe overlap, as Bobatt mentioned. Living here in Alaska, any little intrusion of cold is unwelcomed. I'm getting BootGloves soon, so we'll see if that helps. In the meantime, duck tape is my friend.
I also don't think that the shell overlap works well with my Intuitions at the toe buckle and the instep buckle. I have to be really careful when putting them on (and taking them off) or else I get a major pinch in that region.
But they're a huge step up from my old, misfit hand-me-downs...! Your mileage may vary...
