Ridiculously good.

They got over 200 inches of snow in a few weeks. You won't have any roots or anything other than a soft white surface everywhere to glide on.

It has been an epic season. Incredible coverage. Last year sucked, this year rocks (but no rocks)!

From Alta's website. Next week looks good!
Isolated snow showers will come to an end later this evening as weak high pressure builds into the region. Another system is expected to approach Utah on Saturday.

At Park City last week a couple guys were wearing snorkels. The snow was so deep that I thought they might be serious, but I'm assuming they were joking around.

i was there from jan 4 - feb 1. alta got over 13 feet of snow during that period, and more huge storms were blowing in when i left. i think the base was 120 inches or something like that, no rocks or stumps to worry about. there were like two storms a week. it was sick. there were days when fresh pow was filling in your tracks as fast as you could make 'em.
