Doubt it. I bought it at the Patagonia store in Seattle.
Patagonia has been great and they have happily offered an exchange or refund. I love the jacket (apart from the leaking) and just want to find out if it's an inherent problem with these jackets. If it is, I don't want to waste time getting another one.
Surely someone out there has the same Patagonia jacket........
I have the Rubicon Down jacket: not as high-tech as the Primo Down, but still a hard-shell synthetic down. No problems so far. You probably have a defective product, as Patagonia's stuff tends to be as reliable as anything sold.
I have the Patagonia Primo jacket (non-down version, just the shell). I've worn mine through every type of precipitation imaginable over the past couple seasons, and I have yet to get wet. I think you just have a defective product.
Try one more at if that leaks .... return it. Usually good stuff.
My 35 year old Gerry was puffing feathers this morning when I went for the paper. Of course I've rebuilt three MG's in it in an unheated garage and beat the snot out of it for years. All wounds were infilcted.
Nah .... that stuff is too expensive to let it ride ... go for a new one.
