It will take the better part of a year to get back to normal. Some get there earlier. I am at 4 months post surgery. I am doing well, but not yet 100%. Tightness comes and goes and sometimes a bit wobbly. Those issues are just part of the rehab.
fifedown, changedmylife, yorkyquad and others all hit the mark. Once you get the ROM back, you have to work on strength and fine tuning stability. It takes time. A number of muscles coordinate with each other, One must work on getting those muscles to work together well.
Well, off to the equipment at the hotel to work on the strength. That cross country ski equipment is real good in joint movement and building strength while pushing down.
