@Red Nighthawk, from the above post it sounds like you were able to return to skiing fairly quickly, possibly in less than a year.
Can you tell me about that? My husband is almost 6 months post BQT, post op. He wants to try skiing next week, just walking a bit up a beginner slope, then skiing down. His surgeon will disown him if he reinjures himself. Actually, I may disown him also.
Any thoughts from any QT recoverers?
If the quad is re-injured and torn, they have to trim it off and start again. That means the tendon is shorter.
This statement is assertive, not bitchy or judgmental.
Trying to ski so early after a quad tendon repair is not the smartest thing to do. Sorry for being direct, but just my two cents, but they are not my knees. Save your money on lift tickets, buy a nice pair of new skis on the 2015 close out, and ski in 2016.
