question: is there a recommended number of daily reps and sets for PROM? maybe I missed it on the UW Health document. During PT for surgery 1...I basically was told have at it because you won't hurt your repair. Tonight I was told don't overdue the amount of daily reps and sets. Same Physical therapist but under a different set of circumstances since I'm on repair 2. It doesn't surprise me but I want to be sure I'm on the correct path with my PT.
Late last week I was reading threads and there were several comments about statins. I've been on 20mg daily of Lipitor for approximately 20 months. Immediately I felt a pit form in my stomach. I stopped taking it Friday night, left a message with my primary care physician this morning to call me to discuss. Fast forward to my PT tonight and I mentioned to my physical therapist the topic of statins and as soon as I said "statin and I'm on it".....he shook his head and said "get off that stuff", he went on to repeat what the forum has said about weakened tendons etc. I don't have "high" cholesterol but given my family history and not optimum levels my doctor put me on it.
I can't undo all the past at this moment...gotta keep moving forward on day at a time. I will get through this.
