Quick Status Update. Just had my 16 week check up with the OS. Told him I was having pain when I exercised and that PT was getting me into ballistic exercises (slight jumping and hopping). OS indicated PT was being too aggressive and to do "gentle strengthening." Cleared me for unrestricted activities with caution - particularly not to ski this season. Too much risk of a fall messing things up. Said to ck with him in the Spring. Prior to the OS visit had a particularly challenging PT session. Not sure if it was the exercises or that I had done stuff the day before, as well. Stayed an extra 15 minutes to ice it - first time I've had to do that. So was feeling sore most of the day and wondering if I was being too aggressive, and then noticed tonight that the knee still felt "full" but no pain. Then, I did some stairs up and down - no pain for the first time. I'm sure I'll regress a bit before the no-pain-on-stairs becomes permanent, and not sure where that fits on the overall recovery progress scale, but for me it's a huge milestone. Just hope I'm not being premature.
@Flyguy, be careful of your PT...RE - " (slight jumping and hopping). " I agree with your OS. Even if this is an inch off the ground, it is too much too soon. I like to think conservative to moderate is always the best approach.
