@Eric308, do you or have you ever used the leg press machine? That thing is intense. I upped the weight to 55 lbs. today from 40 lbs. to see how it felt. No problem. I realize that's not much weight for the quads, but the PTs reminded me the weight includes my body weight and the weight of the machine itself, so there is some intese weight being pushed. I feel it, but it feels good! I may go there on my 'off days' and do more.
@Red Nighthawk...yes, every session at the gym. I use several different machines for quad exercises and start with that. I mentioned on an earlier post that it helps to grip a small medicine ball between your knees (about volley ball size) to hit the inner VMO muscle. You know, just do a set or two with it, and a set or two without. I do about 5 sets and top out at 220...about all I can do as my other knee is a replacement and I don't want to overload it. Keep up the good work!
