@DS44...correct not sure why I keep putting a % sign next to my ROM. LOL....anyway, since starting the Rowing Machine on Saturday...I moved from 75 degrees active ROM(Friday) to 80 degrees as of yesterday(Wed) when my OS did the measurement. So there is progress...which is good, but I still feel like I need some better guidance.
I spoke with another PT yesterday and as we went through some of the things that I was doing on my own she made some very good suggestions and was active in my conversation vs. not asking any questions which is where I feel like I'm at currently with my existing PT. The bottom line is she ask me to back off some of the strength training I was doing in favor of doing more ROM exercises. I'm going to meet her tomorrow and will hopefully get a more complete recommendation.
@Eric308-Loving the effects of the concept2 Rower...as I mentioned, it's probably the best exercise I can do. Question: Do you stretch after rowing? If so, for how long?
No, I don't stretch before or after. I start slowly and the machine itself offers plenty of stretch. I usually do my 10K just before I do my other exercises. Tell those folks at your gym to replace the battery on the monitor. Much more fun to see your time and progress. You can also log into the site and keep track of meters rowed. Makes it competitive and more fun.
