Hi Everyone. I found this forum the day after my surgery and have read just about every post. I am 5 weeks PO after taking a fall on Fathers Day. I suffered a complete rupture of my LQT with a vertical tear up the tendon into the muscle (which was found during surgery). I can't tell you how valuable the information on this site has been and would like to thank everyone for sharing their stories of injury and rehab.
Here's a couple questions I'd like to throw out there. How long after surgery did everyone start ditching the crutches? Did anyone experience swelling and pain in the foot on their bad leg?
ToughMudder, You're way ahead of me brother. I can't wait to get the ok for pool therapy. PT says I will be given home therapy session for the pool soon. But the exercises that she described sounds similar to what your doing. At week 3 I was opened up to 30 degrees with instructions not to go anymore. I know I could get a little more but it tightens up pretty quick and I'm not going to mess around. PT says next week after my week 6 appointment that the OS will release me for a lot more. Can't wait!
