Had a day or two feeling VERY down, but you can't allow yourself to stay there for too long. Setting achievable goals was the focus for me. Walking to the doc, cleaning the condo and doing household chores replaced 30k bike rides, big workouts at the gym, a long mountain bike ride etc. No, there wasn't the same degree of satisfaction but there was at least some sense of achievement that I wasn't going to be completely stopped by this. Anyway, this really helped me through the hardest first couple of weeks until I got my stitches out. And once I could have a proper shower, life was always going to get better!
Every week you can do more. Celebrate the milestones and keep telling yourself this is temporary. We'll all get there in our own time! Cheers
