I apologize again for any misunderstanding. My statement wasn't intended to state you couldn't have a quality of life but that once the muscle is actually "torn", it won't reattach. So, my statement was to mean that if your quads were 100% attached prior to your accident and you truely tore the muscle to where less than 100% is currently attached, there is no exercise or anything you can do without surgery that will get you to 100%. That isn't an attacking statement intending to wish you ill will, but a factual statement backed by science. It sounds like you agree because you even state that you "will recover to some degree."
I'm guessing that is a skiing reference and it won't matter the strength of anything because you will win since I haven't skied in 25 years. Powerlifting and sprinting are more my thing.
