How stiff should my new boots be?

Background: 5'7" 130lbs. male expert getting back into beer league racing after a 16 year racing hiatus (still skied a lot though)

I'm currently in Tecnica Icon Alu boots which are now quite packed out, and am contemplating some Diablo Race 110's or 130's for some added performance. I'll be using these to race in, but also for all mountain skiing (including some AK heli woo hoo!!)

Given my small size, light weight- would a 110 flex index be enough / too much? I find my Icon's to be a little flexy (they were rated a flex index of 85 in 2003, but that was when the Icon XT boots were a 99 so I don't know if the 2003 numbers are directly comparable to more recent flex indices.)

Your advice is appreciated!

If you feel the Tecnica Icon Alu is flexy, the Diablo Race 130 should fit the bill.
There are two bolts in the back that can be removed for softening if you feel they are too stiff.
