Looks like 50* to me, the very tippy top is vertical 90*. Pretty sick.

First few turns might be in the 50 range looks like it mellows slightly after that...looks fun!

To anyone who's considering skiing Tuckerman's Ravine this pic gives a pretty good indication of what to expect in steepness. This picture looks almost exactly like the top of Left Gully minus the giant rocks hovering above the lip.

The trees in the distance to the right are either all growing tilted, or the camera was tilted a bit to exaggerate the steepness. Anyway, it's still steep.

When I saw that pic, Tuckerman's. That's what came to mind in terms of steepness.

The people in the foreground appear to be standing naturally. Wide angle lens perhaps?

Look at the carabiner attached to the webbing in the upper left – it is hanging straight down. The camera was not tilted, the trees must be a distortion.
Great shot!

If you place a pencil up against the computer screen lined up with the length of that rope, you'll see that the pencil and the rope are leaning the same direction as the trees. However, the trees lean more. Lenses do distort angles at the outer corners of pictures, but not at the middle. However, lens distortion would tilt the bottom right trees in one direction and the top right trees in the other. Conclusion: the trees are really tilted, and the rope is tilted, and the image is tilted in a direction that slightly exaggerates the steepness of that drop.

Still steep. Very cool picture.

Just so the proper Place is Credited for this picture. I found this on the jackson hole website.. it's called 'the cave'... it looks like it's inbounds, although someone would have to confirm to that.. (or wail 3 weeks till i can confirm hehe)

I agree it's trully a great picture... would I do this run ? YES and I'd love every turn..

3 weeks and couting down..
