I'll be doing laps at caberfae most of the day on Friday February 1st if anyone cares to join me. Sounds like there may be fresh snow moving in during the day too. Also may be there on Saturday or Sunday.

I'm around pretty much every Friday. No class on Fridays this semester

The weather's looking to improve Wednesday or so, only looking at 2 days of this mid-30's nonsense, so I'll for sure be there.

Sounds good Brady, as it gets closer to the time we'll set something up.

Next Friday 2/8

I'm thinking of heading up there next Friday with my 11 year old daughter who has a day off school.

Quick question for you Michigan bears, it looks like it's $8 on the 8th but you need a discount card from a ski shop called Bintz. Is there anyone local that could get me two of these passes?

Thanks!

Sorry but I haven't picked up any of the $8 coupons this year. Trekchic might have a source for them? Enjoy your day at Caberfae!

I have no idea where Bintz Ski Shop is, but I have a few extra 9.00/ coupons for Caberfae. PM me with your mailing address or call me when you go through here and I'll hook you up.

Pedalbiker, call me when you come through, and even if I can't ski with you, I'll set you up with those demo skis for Jo.

Bintz's ski shop is over this way, by Freeland. Its basically the pro shop at Apple Mountain. The ski shop is closing after this season though.

I'll give you a call Friday morning TC, Jo and I will be back over on either Saturday or Sunday, not sure yet. Thanks for the offer!

I was at Caberfae both Saturday and Sunday last weekend and it was quite the zoo. On weekends it looks to be ski early and hard before the crowd shows up.

They are rarely busy at Caberfae, but when it is, they don't have much organization for the lift lines do they?

This coming weekend is the NASF(North American Snowmobile Festival).
There will be tons of people in town but not so many skiing. More snowmobilers.
I'm supposed to help at the motorcycle races on Lake Cadillac this weekend, but may be able to sneak away to ski.
No matter what happens, I'll be happy to meet up with you to get the demo skis.

I was doing pretty good on the south peak with the singles line for a long time but finally that got backed up too. Maybe if the crowds hold up they'll figure out how to deal with them.

Should be a good weekend, more snow in the forecast.

I arrived home from Colorado last night to 44f temps, and some bare ground. woke up this morning at 3 to snow plow 5 inches of snow and -3 + 50 mph wind gusts.

Is it possible to freeze your eyes?:
I'm wearing goggles next time I shovel sidewalks.

24* and occasional snow showers.
Sounds like fun skiing weather.
