I posted earlier about a cheilectomy procedure I am scheduled to have. Fairly simple, some pain, 3 week recovery (uggghhh). My podiatrist went to a seminar re: bone implants in the big toe. By drilling a hole in the bone and inserting a calcium polymer, cartlidge can be regenerated in my arthritic toe. He said recovery would only extend one week and pain wouldn't be much more. I was wondering if anyone's had bone implants and if so, how painful was it? How long was your recovery? Thanks!
