WTT: 07' 183 goats for mantras or wateas 94

I purchased 07' 183 goats w/ s914's this year off TGR site. Seller says they were used about 20 times in 07', I have used twice this year. They are just too much ski for me. I would like to trade for Mantra's or perhaps the Watea 94's - both in 178cm length. Anyone interested?

If the 183 gotama is to much for you I wouldnt go to a 177 mantra...the mantra is alot less forgiving.

I skied the mantra's last weekend and loved them. Maybe I'll have to give the goats another try, but it has been an uphill battle it seems. I have not tried the smaller gots. any thoughts on the watea 94?

What kind of issues are you experiencing skiing the Goats?

It means "seconded", sort of. As in, I agree with this statement or add my support. Adding personal support for another members post= +1

I demoed the mantra last week in 178, conditions were about 2-4" of fresh over an icey layer, I just thought those skiis rocked. I could handle them, they turned when I wanted them to turn, short or longer gs type turns, on edge there was never any doubt where they would go, they were solid and damp, they hugged any of the terrain smoothly, and they felt good, solid and fast when I just let them run flat heading down to the chair.
It seemed when I was on the 183 gots, they took a lot more effort to get them to turn and to control. I know this is different than the conventional wisdom, but I seemed to have a hell of a time on them. And running on the hardpan to the chairs seemed like a precarious balancing act at best.
As I mentioned, even though I was on them twice, maybe for whatever reason I need to try again?

Trade

I have red Mantra 177cm mounted with Mojo 15's for a 305 boot. About 25 days as well. What size boot are the bindings set for?
I love the Mantras just want to go a little wider I have a lot of carry over in the quiver.

Can you send pics? Think I will have to redrill for my boot size? I'm not familiar with those bindings.

Salomon s914's?
Yes, I will go home this morning and take some pictures. I am unfamiliar as to how to upload them onto this site but will figure out.

SkiFree, your boots should fit into those 914's. Salomons usually have a +/- 10mm adjustment.

read my reviews along with Holidays and Dawgs. This is a super versitile ski that is a bit softer than a Mantra that still has great hardpack (not boiler plate or ice) performance. Floats very well and handles crud and broken too. Carve very well and has a lot of energy, good snow feel and is not overly damp. Good progressive flex and plenty of torsional stability. Check it out.

THAT said, if these Mantra's are in really good condition and don't have too many days ("about 25", red ones, what year? 05 or 06) it may be a good deal. the Mojo15 is a very good binding. they are stiff..
